All terms and conditions are considered accepted and agreed upon in full when you place an order.

Retainers and Refunds

Retainer Fee

A 100% Non-Refundable and Non-Transferrable Retainer Fee is due at the time of order placement to reserve your order and pick-up date. No orders or pickup days will be reserved until payment has been made. All orders should be made through the Benoit Bakery website, and no cash will be kept or accepted on pick-up day. As such, in-person cash transactions are prohibited.

No Shows

No show = no cake! Our sweets are best enjoyed fresh. Not showing up to the agreed upon pickup time forfeits your order. But take heart - we'll donate to a family in need. Need to reschedule your order? Please reach out a week prior to your pickup time. If we can accommodate the change we will, but there is a possibility that we will not be able to arrange a last minute time change. Please note that date changes are NOT permitted.

Refunds

We can offer refunds up to 24 hours after the payment is accepted. Unfortunately, after that time, we cannot offer refunds as the supplies are likely already ordered. You can choose to either not pay the remaining 50%, or continue with your order!

Pre-Orders and Pick Ups

Pre-Orders

Benoit Bakery operates on a preorder-to-local pickup schedule to ensure all preordered items are made fresh and available to consumers. Only pickups are permitted at this time. Shipping is currently unavailable.

All orders must be picked up on the agreed-upon date, as selected at checkout. Please bring your order number (provided via your confirmation email) for verification.

No Shows

Any unclaimed items left more than 15 minutes after the pickup window closes will be considered forfeited, and refunds are not permitted for forfeited items.

Order Change Requests

No order changes are permitted after the pre-order window has closed. Changes to order quantity may be approved during the pre-order window, at the Bakery’s discretion. Changes to ingredients, flavors, colors, or types of goods sold are prohibited.

Dishonesty

Disputing payments for completed transactions will result in a consumer ban and refusal of future services/pick-ups. Small businesses rely on good faith, trust, honesty, and honor. Breaking that trust is non-negotiable. 

Pick Ups

Pickups are available in the Houston metropolitan area, Texas. Predetermined pickup locations are listed during checkout, with more details in the confirmation email received once an order is complete. Storage recommendations for each item are available on its respective product page.

Cottage Food Laws

Benoit Bakehouse is a microbakery operating under the Texas Cottage Food Law. All goods are baked in a home kitchen that is not inspected by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS). These items are also produced in a kitchen that processes wheat, milk, eggs, nuts, soy, and other common allergens. While every effort is made to prevent cross-contamination, this cannot be guaranteed. Please consult your licensed healthcare professional before consuming any food that may be at odds with your allergies, intolerances, and/or sensitivities.

Product Photography

The color and lighting of photographed baked goods may vary depending on screen and monitor settings. Benoit Bakery’s products are photographed to accurately depict each item; however, images may show the items slightly differently from how they appear in person.

Price Adjustments

Benoit Bakery’s prices are determined by ingredient costs and are therefore subject to change at any time. All prices are non-negotiable.

Liability

Consuming any food or drink poses inherent risks. While every effort is made to mitigate the following, choking hazards, foodborne illnesses, and allergic reactions remain real possibilities.
